Knock Sensor Replacement - LDE, LXV, LUW, 2H0 and LFH

1. Open the bonnet.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection : without Start/Stop System .



3. Remove the 2 intake manifold bracket bolts (2, 3).
4. Unclip the wiring harness.
5. Remove the inlet manifold bracket (1).



6. Remove the sensor bolt (1).
7. Disconnect the wiring harness plug.
8. Remove the knock sensor (2) from the bracket (3).

1. Install the knock sensor (2) to the bracket (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the sensor bolt (1) and tighten to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
3. Connect the wiring harness plug.



4. Install the inlet manifold bracket (1).
5. Clip in the wiring harness.
6. Install the 2 intake manifold bracket bolts (2, 3) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
7. Connect the negative cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection : without Start/Stop System .
8. Close the bonnet.
