Front Lower Control Arm Bush Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tyre and wheel. Refer to Tyre and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the lower control arm. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement .

Lower Control Arm Rear Bushing Bolt

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

  1. Install and handtighten the NEW bushing bolt. Do NOT reuse old bolt.
  2. Install the lower control arm to the vehicle. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement .
  3. Support the lower control arm with a hydraulic jack and lift the control arm into the neutral position.
  4. Tighten the lower control arm bushing bolt.
  5. • First pass to 55 N·m (41 lb ft)
    • Second pass to an additional 45 degrees
    • Final pass to an additional 60 degrees

EN-45059 Angle Meter.
