Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement - 2.0L Diesel LNP

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection : without Start/Stop System .
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  3. Remove front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation .

  5. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from refrigerant hose (2).
  6. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (3) from A/C condenser (4).

  8. Remove A/C compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) from A/C compressor (2).
  9. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose (3).

Installation Procedure

    Note: Use NEW O-ring seals. Refer to Air Conditioning O-Ring Seal Replacement .

  1. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose (3).
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) to A/C compressor (2) and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  5. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (3) to A/C condenser (4) and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).
  6. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to refrigerant hose (2) and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).
  7. Install front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation .
  8. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection : without Start/Stop System
