Steering Wheel Airbag Coil Replacement

Component Name

Remove the steering column lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement .
Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .

Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Coil Fastener (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
1.5 N·m (13 lb in)

Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Coil

Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.

•	Do not remove the centring tab from a new steering wheel inflatable restraint module coil until it has been installed or re-centring will be required.

•	If re-centring of the steering wheel inflatable restraint module coil is needed then refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Centring .
