Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the instrument panel wiring harness. Refer to Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Replacement .
2. Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
3. Remove the body control module bracket. Refer to Body Control Module Bracket Replacement .

Instrument Panel Tie Bar Fastener (Qty: 6)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
22 N·m (16 lb ft)

Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Fastener (Qty: 2)

Tighten:
5 N·m (44 lb in)

Instrument Panel Tie Bar

Procedure

1. With the aid of an assistant, remove the I/P tie bar assembly from the vehicle.
2. If replacing the I/P tie bar assembly, transfer all necessary components.
