Handbrake Cable Replacement
Warning: Refer to Brake Dust Warning in the Preface section.
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front floor rear console. Refer to Front Floor Rear Console Replacement .
- Remove the rear seat. Refer to
Rear Seat Replacement : 60 Percent Seat → 40 Percent Seat .
- Remove the centre pillar lower garnish moulding. Refer to Centre Pillar Lower Garnish Moulding Replacement .
- Partially remove the rear floor carpet (1).
- Remove the parking brake cable (2) from the parking brake lever (1).
- Remove the parking brake cable (2) from the parking brake cable bracket (3).
- Remove the parking brake cable clip (1).
- Remove the parking brake cable grommet (2).
- Remove the parking brake cable casing retainer bolt (1).
- Unclip the parking brake cable.
- Remove the handbrake cable (1) from the rear brake caliper.
Installation Procedure
- Install the parking brake cable (1) to the rear brake calliper.
- Clip in the parking brake cable (2).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the parking brake cable casing retainer bolt (1). Tighten the bolt 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the parking brake cable grommet (2).
- Install the parking brake cable clip (1).
- Install the parking brake cable (2) to the parking brake cable bracket (3).
- Install in the parking brake cable (2) to the parking brake lever (1).
- Install the rear floor carpet (1).
- Install the centre pillar lower garnish moulding. Refer to Centre Pillar Lower Garnish Moulding Replacement .
- Install the rear seat. Refer to
Rear Seat Replacement : 60 Percent Seat → 40 Percent Seat .
- Install the front floor rear console. Refer to Front Floor Rear Console Replacement .
