Preliminary Procedures

Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement .

Steering Wheel Bolt

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

Apply thread lock compound to bolt. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .

Tighten
30 N·m (22 lb ft)

Procedure

1. Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
2. Remove the steering wheel carefully.
