Air Conditioning Condenser Replacement - 1.8L 2H0 and 2.0L Diesel LNP

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection : without Start/Stop System .
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  3. Remove front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation .
  4. Remove headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement .
  5. Remove the front bumper fascia upper support. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Upper Support Replacement .
  6. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose from condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LNP .

  8. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut and air conditioning evaporator hose nut (1, 2).
  9. Remove air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor. Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Replacement .

  11. Remove air conditioning condenser (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install air conditioning condenser (1).
  2. Install air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor. Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Replacement .
  3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut and air conditioning evaporator hose nut (1, 2) and tighten to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).
  5. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose to air conditioning condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LNP .
  6. Install the front bumper fascia upper support. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Upper Support Replacement .
  7. Install headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement .
  8. Install front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation .
  9. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  10. Connect battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection : without Start/Stop System .
