Control Valve Body Replacement

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
2. Remove the control valve body cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement .



3. Disconnect the 1-2 shift solenoid valve electrical connector (green) (1), 2-3 shift solenoid valve electrical connector (white) (2), pressure control solenoid valve electrical connector (brown) (3) and torque converter clutch solenoid valve electrical connector (black) (4).
4. Remove the transmission fluid temperature (TFT) sensor bolt (5).



5. Remove the 7 control valve body bolts (1).
6. Remove the control valve body assembly .

Note: 

•	Ensure that the valve is fixed to the location pin.

•	After installing the control valve body, ensure again with your fingers that the manual valve is engaged with the manual plate pin.

1. While hanging the detent spring (3) on the manual plate (1), engage the manual valve (2) with the manual plate pin, and install the control valve body assembly.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




2. Install the 7 control valve body bolts (1) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in).



3. Install the TFT sensor.
4. Install the TFT sensor bolt (5) and the ground terminal together and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
5. Connect the 1-2 shift solenoid valve electrical connector (green) (1), 2-3 shift solenoid valve electrical connector (white) (2), pressure control solenoid valve electrical connector (brown) (3) and torque converter clutch solenoid valve electrical connector (black) (4).
6. Install the control valve body cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement .
7. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
