Input Shaft Assemble

Special Tools

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Note: Coat all of the inner parts the gear, the bearing, and the oil seal with gear fluid.

1. Install the 3rd gear bearing (2).
2. Install the 3rd gear and synchroniser ring (1).



3. Install the 3rd-4th synchroniser hub (2) to the sleeve (1).

Note: Make sure that the key units is properly seated into the key groove of sleeve and hub.

4. Install the key units (3) into the key groove of the hub and sleeve.




Note: 

•	Position the longer flange of hub toward the third gear and match the key groove of hub to the synchroniser ring lug.

•	When installing gear, bearing and hub assembly, install them slowly using the DT-46496 gear, bearing installer (1) and a hammer. If overpressed, the gear teeth may be damaged

5. Insert the 3rd-4th hub assembly (2) into the input shaft.
6. Install the 3rd-4th hub assembly using the DT-46496 gear, bearing installation tool (1) and hammer.



7. Install the 3rd-4th synchroniser circlip (2)

Note: Match the synchroniser ring lug to the key groove of hub.

8. Install the 4th synchroniser ring (1).



9. Install the input shaft 4th gear bearing (2) and 4 gear (1).



10. Install the input shaft left side bearing (3) using the DT-49080 gear, bearing installation tool (1), and hammer.
11. Install the 5th gear spacer (2) using the DT-49080 gear, bearing installation tool (1), and hammer.



12. Install the input shaft right bearing (2) to the input shaft using the DT-49080 gear, bearing installation tool (1), and hammer.
13. Install the gear unit. Refer to Transmission Assemble .
