Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the tyre and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .



3. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).
4. Detach the wheel speed sensor harness from the body frame mounted bracket (2).



5. Detach the wheel speed sensor harness from the rear axle mounted bracket (1).



6. Remove the wheel speed sensor harness from the retaining clip (1).
7. Remove the wheel speed sensor to knuckle retaining bolt (2).
8. Remove the wheel speed sensor (3) from the knuckle.

1. Install the wheel speed sensor (3) to the knuckle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the wheel speed sensor to knuckle retaining bolt (2) and tighten to 8.5 N·m (75 lb in).
3. Install the wheel speed sensor harness to the retaining clip (1).



4. Attach the wheel speed sensor harness to the rear axle mounted bracket (1).



5. Attach the wheel speed sensor harness to from the body frame mounted bracket (2).
6. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).
7. Install the tyre and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
8. Lower the vehicle.
