Front Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement — Left Side

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the tyre and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
3. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .



4. Remove the ECM bracket bolts (1), and then position the ECM and ECM bracket aside. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .



5. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).



6. Detach the wheel speed sensor harness from the body frame mounted bracket (1).
7. Detach the wheel speed sensor harness from the front strut mounted bracket (2).



8. Remove the wheel speed sensor to knuckle retaining bolt (1).
9. Remove the wheel speed sensor (2) from the steering knuckle.

1. Install the wheel speed sensor (2) to the knuckle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the wheel speed sensor to knuckle retaining bolt (1) and tighten to 8.5 N·m (75 lb in) .



3. Attach the wheel speed sensor harness to the front strut mounted bracket (2).
4. Attach the wheel speed sensor harness to the body frame mounted bracket (1).



5. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).



6. Position the ECM and ECM bracket to the original place, and install the ECM bracket bolts (1). Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
7. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
8. Install the tyre and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
9. Lower the vehicle.
