Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .

  4. Remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from A/C condenser (2).

  6. Remove the A/C compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) from A/C compressor (2).
  7. Remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose.

Installation Procedure

    Note: Use NEW O-ring seals. Refer to Air Conditioning O-Ring Seal Replacement .

  1. Install the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) to air conditioning compressor (2) and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  5. Install the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to air conditioning condenser (2) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  6. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  7. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
