Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement .

  2. Remove the instrument panel wiring harness from the instrument panel tie bar.
  3. Remove the instrument panel tie bar to side body panel bolts.

    4. 2309057
  4. Remove the instrument panel tie bar to air conditioning evaporator and blower module assembly bolts and nuts.
  5. Remove the instrument panel tie bar to floor panel bolts.
  6. Remove the instrument panel tie bar assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the instrument panel tie bar assembly on the vehicle.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the instrument panel tie bar to air conditioning evaporator and blower module assembly bolts and nuts and tighten to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
  3. Install the instrument panel tie bar to floor panel bolts and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  4. Install the instrument panel tie bar to side body panel bolts and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).
  5. Install the instrument panel wiring harness on the instrument panel tie bar.
  6. Install the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement .
