DTC Descriptor

DTC 1: Inside Air Temperature Sensor Malfunction

Circuit/System Description

The inside air temperature sensor is a part of the HVAC control. If this DTC is set, HVAC control should be replaced.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The ignition is turned ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

This code will set if the output of the inside air temperature sensor indicates a probable short circuit or an open in the sensor or the malfunction of the HVAC control.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

•	The system operates using a default value.

•	The DTC will flash on the HVAC control display.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

•	DTC will be cleared when restarting the engine.

•	DTC will be cleared when pushing the AUTO switch.

•	DTC will be cleared when rotating the fan control knob to 0.
