Stepper motors are used for recirculation flap control. With the appropriate switches at the HVAC control, the desired recirculation flap position can be put in. The selected values are passed to the HVAC control via the LIN-Bus. The HVAC control supplies the ignition voltage.
The ignition is turned ON.
HVAC control does not receive LIN data from the actuator.
The DTC will flash on the HVAC control display.
• | DTC will be cleared when restarting the engine. |
• | DTC will be cleared when pushing the AUTO switch. |
• | DTC will be cleared when rotating the fan control knob to 0. |
Automatic HVAC Description and Operation
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short circuit to ground or open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K33 HVAC Control. |
⇒ | If not within the specified range, test the serial data circuit for a short circuit to ground or open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K33 HVAC Control. |
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the serial data circuit for a short to voltage. |
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
