Handbrake Indicator Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .

  2. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the parking brake indicator switch.

    3. 2308659
  3. Remove the parking brake indicator switch screw (3).
  4. Remove the parking brake indicator switch (2) from the park brake lever assembly (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the parking brake indicator switch (2) to the park brake lever assembly (1).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the parking brake indicator switch screw (3) and tighten to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the parking brake indicator switch.
  4. Install the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  5. Check the operation of the parking brake indicator switch.
