Control Valve Body Disassemble

1. Remove the solenoid valve bolts.
2. Remove the 1-2 shift solenoid valve (1), the 2-3 shift solenoid valve (4), the pressure control solenoid valve (3) and the torque converter clutch solenoid valve (2) from the lower control valve body.



3. Remove the oil strainer (1) from the lower control valve body.



4. Remove the bolts from the side of the lower control valve body as indicated by arrows.



5. With the upper control valve body facing upward, remove the bolt and the nut.




Note: There is a steel ball inside the body of each valve. Remove each body and the separator plate as an assembly with the lower control valve body facing downward.

6. Remove the upper control valve body and the separator plate as an assembly.




Note: Be careful not to drop or lose the steel ball.

7. With the upper control valve body downward, remove the separator plate and the steel balls (1).



8. With the upper side of the control valve centre body facing upward, remove it as an assembly with the separator plate B.




Note: Be careful not to drop or lose the steel ball.

9. With the upper side of the control valve centre body facing downward, remove the separator plate B and the steel balls (1).




Note: Be careful not to drop or lose the oil filter.

10. Remove the oil filter (1) from the lower control valve body.
