Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Note: Be careful pouring engine oil after removing the CMP sensor.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
2. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.
3. Remove the camshaft position sensor retaining bolt.
4. Remove the camshaft position sensor.

1. Install the camshaft position sensor.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the crankshaft position sensor retaining bolt and tighten to 6.5 N·m (7.5 lb in).
3. Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
