DTC P0758

This circuit controls the 2-3 shift solenoid through the TCM. The TCM outputs an ON/OFF signal to control the shift solenoid.

When the transmission control module (TCM) sends an output signal to activate the 2-3 shift solenoid, but the return signal is received as OFF by the monitoring signal.

DTC P0758 is a Type A DTC.

Control Module References for scan tool information

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly wiring harness plug and K71 TCM wiring harness plug.
2. Test for 20-30 Ω at 20°C (68°F) between the Q32B 2-3 Shift Solenoid Valve circuit terminal 2 and ground.

⇒	If not the specified value, test for the circuit for open circuit or short circuit to ground.

⇒	If the circuit is normal, replace the Q32B 2-3 Shift Solenoid Valve.

3. Test for continuity between the Q32B 2-3 Shift Solenoid Valve circuit terminal 2 and K71 TCM wiring harness plug terminal 20.

⇒	If the continuity is not normal, repair or replace the circuit.

⇒	If the circuits test normal, replace the K71 TCM.

1. Disconnect the Q32B 2-3 Shift Solenoid Valve wiring harness plug.
2. Apply battery voltage to the Q32B 2-3 Shift Solenoid Valve terminal. Ensure that you hear an operation click from inside the transmission case.
3. Test for 20-30 Ω at 20°C (68°F) between the Q32B 2-3 Shift Solenoid Valve terminal and the transmission case.
4. If the resistance is too low or too high, replace the Q32B 2-3 Shift Solenoid Valve.

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
