Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the tailgate trim panel. Refer to Tailgate Trim Panel Replacement .
2. Remove the tailgate lock cylinder rod.
3. Remove the tailgate outside handle rod.

Tailgate Latch Bolt (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
12 N·m (106 lb in)
