Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

1. Ensure that all lamps and accessories are turned off. Turn the ignition OFF and remove the ignition key.
2. Loosen the negative battery cable nut.
3. Remove the negative battery cable from the battery.

1. Install the negative battery cable to the battery.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Fasten the negative battery cable nut and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
3. Insert the ignition key and turn the ignition to the ON position.
4. Program all of the customer radio station presets and set the radio clock to the current time.
