Crankshaft and Bearing Installation

    Note: Inspect the installation position.

  1. Install the crankshaft.

    2. Note: Inspect the installation position.

  2. Install the crankshaft bearing (3).

    3. Note: Inspect the installation position.

  3. Install the crankshaft bearing cap (2).

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

    Note: Inspect the installation position.

  4. Install the big end bearing (3) and big end bearing caps (1) and tighten the 10 big end bearing cap nuts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  5. Install the crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1) with the new gasket (2) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
