Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Installation

EN 50171 Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Installer

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1. Position the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal (1).

1.1.	Position the crankshaft rear oil seal in such a way that the crankshaft rear oil seal housing is over the corresponding cut-out on the cylinder block.

Note: Do not press in the seal ring all the way.

1.2.	Slide the crankshaft rear oil seal over the crankshaft. Push, until the crankshaft rear oil seal is flush and sits evenly in the cylinder block.




2. Install the EN 50171 crankshaft rear oil seal installer (1) to the crankshaft.
3. Tighten the EN 50171 crankshaft rear oil seal installer to crankshaft retaining bolt (2).
4. Using the EN 50171 crankshaft rear oil seal installer, install the crankshaft rear oil seal.
5. Remove the EN 50171 crankshaft rear oil seal installer (1).
