Timing Chain Tensioner Installation

EN-49073 Timing Chain Tensioner Pin

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1. Push the timing chain tensioner plunger and fix the plunger by installing the EN-49073 timing chain tensioner pin .



2. Inspect the timing chain tensioner mounting surface on the cylinder head for burrs or any defects that may degrade the sealing of the timing chain tensioner.
3. Install the timing chain tensioner (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

4. Tighten the timing chain tensioner to cylinder block retaining bolts (1) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
