Sump Installation

Note: The assembly time, including torque check, must take no longer than 10 minutes.

1. Apply approximately a 2.5-3 mm (0.0983-0.118 in) thick bead of oil pan sealant (1) to the oil pan.



2. Install the oil pan (3).
3. Install the 16 oil pan bolts (2) and 2 nuts (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

4. Tighten the oil pan bolts and nuts on the cylinder block to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
