Note: The EN-50516 fixing tool should not be installed.
- Set the crankshaft to BDC of combustion stroke of cylinder 1.
- Remove the 2 connecting rod bearing cap bolts (3) from the cylinder 1.
Note: The shear surfaces of the connecting rod and the connecting rod bearing cap form a unique fit and must not be swapped or damaged. Do not lay down on the shear surfaces.
Note: Set aside in the order removed.
- Remove the connecting rod bearing cap (2) from the cylinder 1.
- Remove the connecting rod lower bearing (1).
Note: Set aside in the order removed.
- Push the piston with the connecting rod (1) from the cylinder 1 upward.
- Remove the connecting rod upper bearings (2) from the cylinder 1.
- Set the crankshaft to BDC of combustion stroke of cylinder 2 and follow the steps 2-6.
- Set the crankshaft to BDC of combustion stroke of cylinder 3 and follow the steps 2-6.
