Piston and Connecting Rod Assemble

1. Install the piston rings. Use piston ring pliers (1).



2. The piston rings are ordered as followed:

•	Upper compression ring (1)

•	Lower compression ring (2)

•	Oil ring (3)

3. The piston ring joints must be displaced 120° to each other.




Note: Lubricate the piston pin and the piston bore with engine oil.

Note: The marks on the connecting rod must show in direction of the arrow mark on the top of the piston.

4. Install the piston (3) to the connecting rod (4).
5. Install the piston pin (2).
6. Install the 2 piston pin retainers (1).
