Balancer Shaft Installation

Note: Apply lubricant equally spaced to all bearing surfaces.

1. Install the balance shaft (1).
2. Install the balance shaft front and rear bearing caps (3).
3. Install the 4 balance shaft bearing cap bolts (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




4. Tighten the balance shaft bearing cap bolts in sequence as shown and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
