Engine Coolant Thermostat Installation

  1. Install the engine coolant thermostat gasket (2).
  2. Install the engine coolant temperature sensor gasket (4).
  3. Install the engine coolant temperature sensor (3).
  4. Install the engine coolant temperature sensor retainer clip (5) to the engine coolant thermostat (1).

  5. Install the engine coolant thermostat (1).

    6. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  6. Install the 2 engine coolant thermostat bolts (2) and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
