ON-VEHICLE SERVICE
Front Side Door Window Frame Rear Applique
Removal Procedure
- Reposition the weatherstrip in order to access the screws.
- Remove the screws and the front side door window frame rear applique (front side door window frame rear applique shown, rear side door window frame front applique similar).
Installation Procedure
Notice : Dissimilar metals in direct contact with each other may corrode rapidly. Make sure to use the correct fasteners to prevent premature corrosion.
- Install the screws and the Front side door window frame rear applique (front side door window frame rear applique shown, rear side door window frame front applique).
Tighten
Tighten the front side door window frame applique screws to 1.3 N•m 12 (lb-in).
- Install the weatherstrip to its original position.
Roof Molding
Removal Procedure
- Remove the roof molding from the metal clips.
Installation Procedure
- Press the roof molding onto the metal clips.
Rocker Panel Molding
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front mud guards. Refer to "Mud Guards" in this section.
- Remove the clips and the rocker panel molding.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rocker panel molding with the clips.
- Install the front mud guards. Refer to "Mud Guards" in this section.
Mud Guards
Removal Procedure
- Remove the screw and the bolts and the mud guard.
Installation Procedure
Notice : Dissimilar metals in direct contact with each other may corrode rapidly. Make sure to use the correct fasteners to prevent premature corrosion.
- Install the mud guard with the bolts and the screw.
Tighten
Tighten the mud guard bolts to 2 N•m (18 lb-in).
Front Fender Wheel Opening Molding
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front mud guards. Refer to "Mud Guards" in this section.
- Remove the screws and front fender wheel opening molding.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front fender wheel opening molding with the screws.
Tighten
Tighten the front fender wheel opending molding screws to 4 N•m (35 lb-in).
- Install the front mud guard.
Rear Wheel Opening Molding
Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear wheel opening molding.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear wheel opening molding.
Front Side Door Lower Molding
Removal Procedure
- Remove the nut and the front side door lower molding.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front side door lower molding with the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the front side door lower molding nut to 4.5 N•m (40 lb-in).
Rear Side Door Lower Molding
Removal Procedure
- Remove the nut and the rear side door lower molding.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear side door lower molding with the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the rear side door lower molding nut to 4.5 N•m (40 lb-in).
GENERAL DESCRIPTIONAND SYSTEM OPERATION
Emblems and Lettering
The emblems and lettering on the vehicle are attached by adhesive. The company emblem appears on the radiator grille. The lettering, which appears in several places on the body of the vehicle, features the model, the grade, and the company name.
Mud Guards
Front and rear mud guards are standard equipment on all models. Mud guards will help prevent an excessive buildup of mud on the body.
