Piston, Connecting Rod, and Bearing Removal

  1. Remove the 8 big end bearing cap bolts (3).

    Note: Mark and confirm the big end bearing cap (1) position to ensure they are installed in the same position for assembly. Apply identification mark if not present.

  3. Remove the 4 big end bearing caps (2).

  4. 2027987

    Note: Take extreme care to prevent damage to the cylinder bore surface, piston ring and piston surface.

  5. Remove the 4 pistons with 4 connecting rods (1) push to the top of the engine block.
  6. Note: 

       • Mark the position of the big end bearings (4) for assembly.
       • Take extreme care to prevent any scratches or damages to the big end bearings.

  7. Remove the 8 big end bearings (4).
