Turbocharger Installation

Note: Ensure that the turbocharger surface and the exhaust manifold surface are clear of old gasket material and rust.

1. Install a NEW turbocharger gasket (3).
2. Install the turbocharger (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

3. Install 2 NEW turbocharger lower nuts (4) and tighten to 34 N·m (26 lb ft).
4. Install the NEW turbocharger upper nut (1) and tighten to 34 N·m (26 lb ft).
