Exhaust Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 2

Warning: Refer to Exhaust Service Warning in the Preface section.

Warning: Refer to Protective Goggles and Glove Warning in the Preface section.

1. Remove the exhaust flex pipe. Refer to Exhaust Flexible Pipe Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LLW .



2. Disconnect the exhaust temperature sensor wiring harness plug (2).
3. Unclip the exhaust temperature sensor wiring harness plug (3) from the particulate filter bracket (1).
4. Remove the exhaust temperature sensor - position 2 (4).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




1. Install the exhaust temperature sensor - position 2 (4) and tighten to 45 N·m (34 lb ft).
2. Clip in the exhaust temperature sensor wiring harness plug (3) to the particulate filter bracket (1).
3. Connect the exhaust temperature sensor wiring harness plug (2).
4. Install the exhaust flex pipe. Refer to Exhaust Flexible Pipe Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LLW .
