Transmission Control Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .

  2. Remove the gear lever and selector lever cable adjust locks (1).

  3. Remove the transmission control bolts (1, 2).

    4. 2027560
  4. Remove the gear lever and selector lever cable retainer (1) from the transmission control.
  5. Disconnect the gear lever and selector lever cables (2) from the selector control adjusters.
  6. Remove the transmission control.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the gear lever and selector lever cables (2) to the selector control adjusters.
  2. Install the gear lever and selector lever cable retainer (1) to the transmission control.

  3. Install the transmission control.

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the transmission control bolts (1, 2) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
  5. Adjust the gear lever and selector lever cables. Refer to Manual Gearbox Gear Lever and Selector Lever Cable Adjustment .
  6. Install the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
