Alternator, Air Conditioning Compressor, and Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the front compartment splash shield. Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement .

  3. Rotate the drive belt tensioner bolt (2) clockwise.
  4. Remove the drive belt (1) while pulling the drive belt tensioner by a suitable tool (3).

Installation Procedure

  1. Rotate the drive belt tensioner bolt (2) clockwise.
  2. Install the drive belt (1) while pulling the tensioner by a suitable tool (3).
  3. Rotate the tensioner anticlockwise to tension the drive belt (2).
  4. Install the front compartment splash shield. Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement .
  5. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
