Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side - except LUJ, LLU

Special Tools

CH-49290 Engine Support Tool

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1. Remove battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
2. Raise vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
3. Install CH-49290 engine support fixture . For assembly use attached installation manual.
4. Lower vehicle.



5. Remove and DISCARD 3 transmission mount bolts (1).



6. Remove 2 transmission mount bolts (1, 3) and transmission mount nut (2).



7. Remove transmission mount (1).

1. Install transmission mount (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




2. Install 2 transmission mount bolts (1, 3) and tighten to 62 N·m (46 lb ft).
3. Install transmission mount nut (2) and tighten to 62 N·m (46 lb ft).



4. Install 3 NEW transmission mount bolts (1) and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft) + 60°-75°.
5. Raise vehicle.
6. Remove CH-49290 engine support tool.
7. Lower vehicle.
8. Install battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
