Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Replacement
Removal Procedure
Remove the radiator grille reinforcement support. Refer to
Radiator Grille Reinforcement Support Replacement
.
Remove the fluid level drain plug (1).
Drain transmission fluid into a suitable container.
Detach transmission fluid cooler outlet pipe (3) and transmission fluid cooler intermediate pipe (4) from transmission fluid auxiliary cooler. Refer to
Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection
.
Remove transmission fluid auxiliary cooler pipe bolt (5).
Remove radiator air seal (1).
Remove transmission fluid auxiliary cooler (2).
Installation Procedure
Install transmission fluid auxiliary cooler (2).
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install transmission fluid auxiliary cooler pipe bolt (5) and tighten to
4 N·m (35 lb in)
.
Attach transmission fluid cooler intermediate pipe (4) and fluid cooler outlet pipe (3) to transmission fluid auxiliary cooler. Refer to
Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection
.
Install radiator air seal (1).
Install the fluid level drain plug (1) and tighten to
12 N·m (106 lb in)
Top up transmission fluid and check transmission fluid level. Refer to
Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check
.
Install the radiator grille reinforcement support. Refer to
Radiator Grille Reinforcement Support Replacement
