DTC Descriptor

DTC P160D 00: Incorrect Engine Calibration Detected

Circuit/System Description

This diagnostic addresses if the ECM is not programmed with the right engine calibration.

Conditions for Running the DTC

    • The ignition is ON.
    • The DTC runs continuously once the above condition is met.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The ECM detects that a wrong engine calibration is programmed in the EEPROM for greater than 1 s.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

DTC P160D is a Type A DTC.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

DTC P160D is a Type A DTC.

Circuit/System Testing

Program the ECM. If DTC P160D sets after programming, perform the following steps:

    • Ensure that all tool connections are secure.
    • Ensure the programming equipment is operating correctly.
    • Ensure the correct software and the correct calibration is used.
    • Attempt to program the K20 Engine Control Module.
       ⇒If DTC P160D sets, replace the K20 Engine Control Module.
