Inlet Manifold Cleaning and Inspection - LDE, LED, LFJ, LXV, 2H0, LUW, LFH
Clean the inlet manifold mating surfaces.
Inspect the inlet manifold (2) for damage.
Inspect the inlet manifold for cracks near metallic inserts.
Inspect the crankcase ventilation passages in the inlet manifold face for blockage.
Warning:
Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.
Clean the crankcase ventilation passages with compressed air if necessary. Use a maximum of 172 kPa (25 psi) of air pressure.
Clean the throttle body sealing surface (1).
Clean the inlet manifold to cylinder head sealing surface (3).
Replace the inlet manifold, as necessary.
