Front Wheel Drive Shaft Seal Replacement - Left Side

DT-519 Installer Drift

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Caution: While using a prise bar to remove the axle seal, use extreme care not to damage the bearing adjusting ring on the transmission case.

1. Remove the left front wheel drive shaft from the transmission. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Left Side .
2. Remove the left front wheel drive shaft seal (1) by lifting the outer lip of the seal with a prise-bar.

1. Install the NEW front wheel drive shaft seal using the DT-519 installer drift (1) and a hammer.
2. Coat the seal lips with NEW transmission oil.
3. Install the left front wheel drive shaft to the transmission. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Left Side .
