Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the liftgate trim finish panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Finish Panel Replacement .
2. Remove the tailgate upper trim finish panel. Refer to Tailgate Upper Trim Finish Panel Replacement .
3. Remove the reversing lights. Refer to Reverse Lamp Replacement .
4. Partially loosen the headliner trim panel. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement : without Sunroof  → with Sunroof .

Liftgate Wiring Harness

Procedure

1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection : without Start/Stop System .
2. Disconnect electrical connectors as needed.
