Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
2. Remove the front floor front console. Refer to Front Floor Front Console Replacement .
3. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
4. Remove the instrument panel moulding. Refer to Instrument Panel Molding Replacement - Driver Side .
5. Remove the steering column lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement .
6. Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
7. Remove the radio assembly. Refer to Radio Replacement .
8. Remove the radio control switch. Refer to Radio Control Switch Replacement .
9. Remove both windshield garnish moldings. Refer to Windscreen Garnish Moulding Replacement .

Instrument Panel Assembly Fastener (Qty: 8)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Instrument Panel Assembly

Procedure

1. Disconnect the wiring harness from the instrument panel assembly.
2. With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel assembly from the vehicle.
3. If replacing the instrument panel assembly, transfer all necessary components.
