Transmission Fluid Level Inspection

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Place basin underneath.
3. Clean away all dirt and debris from transmission oil drain plug area.




Note: Discard transmission oil drain plug.

4. Remove transmission oil drain plug (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

1. Install NEW transmission oil drain plug and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
2. Lower vehicle.
3. Remove battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
4. Clean away all dirt and debris from transmission oil filler plug area.



5. Remove transmission oil filler plug (1).
6. Add transmission fluid. For transmission fluid capacity, refer to Manual Gearbox Specifications .
7. Install NEW transmission oil filler plug and tighten to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
8. Install battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
