DTC Descriptor

DTC P160E 00: Engine Calibration Monitoring Not Programmed

Circuit/System Description

This diagnostic addresses if the ECM is not programmed with the engine calibration.

Conditions for Running the DTC

    • The ignition is ON.
    • The DTC runs continuously once the above condition is met.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The ECM detects that the engine calibration is not programmed in the EEPROM for greater than 1 s.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

DTC P160E is a Type A DTC.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

DTC P160E is a Type A DTC.

Circuit/System Testing

Program the ECM. If DTC P160E sets after programming, perform the following steps:

    • Ensure that all tool connections are secure.
    • Ensure the programming equipment is operating correctly.
    • Ensure the correct software and the correct calibration is used.
    • Attempt to program the K20 Engine Control Module.
       ⇒If DTC P160E sets, replace the K20 Engine Control Module.

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
