Clutch Release Bearing Replacement

Special Tools

For the equivalent local tools, refer to Special Tools .

1. Remove the transmission from the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement .
2. Remove the release arm. Refer to Clutch Pedal Arm Replacement .



3. Remove the release bearing (1).



4. Remove the (No. 2) bushing and seal using DT-49085 bushing remover (1) and hammer.
5. Remove the release shaft (2).



6. Install the DT-49086 bushing remover/installer (1) and the DT-49087 bushing remover (2) to the No.1 bushing.
7. Connect the DT-50059 sliding shaft (3) to the end of the DT-49086 bushing remover/installer (1).
8. Remove the No.1 bushing by pulling.

1. Install the new No.1 release shaft bushing using the DT-49086 bushing remover/installer (1), DT-50060 bushing, bearing installer (2) and a hammer.



2. Coat the release shaft and bushing with grease.
3. Install the release shaft (1).
4. Install the new No.2 release shaft bushing (2) using the DT-50199 bushing, seal installer (3) and a hammer.



5. Install the release shaft seal (1) using the DT-50199 bushing, seal installer (2) and a hammer.



6. Coat the spline of the transmission input shaft with multi-purpose grease (1).
7. Coat the release bearing bore and the connecting of the release shaft with multi-purpose grease (2).
8. Install the release bearing (3).
9. Install the release arm. Refer to Clutch Pedal Arm Replacement .
10. Install the transmission to the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement .
