Clutch Cable Replacement

1. Remove the ECM from the battery tray. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .



2. Remove the clutch cable adjusting nut (1).
3. Remove the clutch release bumper assembly (2) from the clutch cable (3).
4. Pull and remove the clutch cable (3) from the clutch cable bracket hole.



5. Open the clutch cable clip (1) and disconnect the cable from the pedal hook.



6. Remove the clutch cable grommet nut.
7. Remove the clutch cable from the vehicle.

1. Install the clutch cable to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




2. Install the clutch cable grommet nuts and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).



3. Connect the cable to the pedal hook and close the clutch cable clip (1).



4. Insert the clutch cable (3) to the clutch cable bracket hole.
5. Install the clutch release bumper assembly (2) to the clutch cable (3).
6. Install the clutch cable adjusting nut (1).
7. Install the ECM to the battery try. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
8. Adjust the clutch cable. Refer to Clutch Assembly Adjustment .
