Counter Gear Shaft Disassemble

Special Tools

DT-46494 Gear, Bearing Removal Tool

Refer to Special Tools for the equivalent local tools.

1. Remove the gear unit. Refer to Transmission Disassemble .
2. Remove the layshaft right side bearing.



3. Position the 4th gear to the DT-46494 gear, bearing removal tool (3).
4. Remove the layshaft left bearing (1) and 4 gear (2) using a press.



5. Remove the layshaft 3rd-4th gear spacer (1).
6. Position the 2nd gear to theDT-46494 gear, bearing removal tool (4).
7. Remove the 3rd gear (2) and 2nd gear (3) with the press.



8. Remove the layshaft 2nd gear bearing (1).
9. Remove the 2nd gear synchroniser ring (2).
10. Remove the 1st-2nd gear synchroniser circlip (3).



11. Position the 1st gear to theDT-46494 gear, bearing removal tool (3).
12. Remove the 1st-2nd gear synchroniser hub assembly (1), 1st gear synchroniser ring and 1st gear (2) with the press.
13. Remove the 1st gear synchroniser ring from the 1 gear.



14. Push the hub (1) from the 1st-2nd gear synchroniser hub assembly.
15. Disassemble the synchroniser sleeve (2) and key units (3).



16. Remove the layshaft 1st gear bearing (1) and the 1st gear spacer (2).
