Fuel Tank Heat Shield Replacement

1. Remove the exhaust pipe - rear silencer nut. Refer to Exhaust Pipe Replacement .
2. Remove the fuel tank strap retaining bolt.
3. Remove the fuel tank heat shield retaining screw bolt.

1. Install the fuel tank heat shield retaining screw bolt.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the fuel tank strap retaining bolt and tighten to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
3. Install the exhaust pipe - rear silencer nut and tighten to 46 N·m (34 lb ft).
