DT-47525 Reverse Clutch Spring Compressor
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
- Remove the snap ring (1).
- Remove the retaining plate (2), 2 friction plates (3) and 2 separator plates (4) from the reverse clutch drum (5).
Note: Do not apply undue stress to the spring retainer assembly.
- Depress the spring retainer assembly (2) using DT-47525 compressor (3) and remove the circlip (1).
- Remove the spring retainer assembly.
Note: Air must be blown gradually at low pressure so as not to tilt reverse clutch piston. If the reverse clutch piston (3) is hard to remove by blowing air with an air gun (2), pull it out using pliers.
- Blow air into the oil inlet of the reverse clutch drum (1) to drive out the reverse clutch piston (3).
- Remove the reverse clutch piston and O-rings (4).
